I also have a 260lbs magnet that is stronger! The seller contacted me and I explained my issue and they apologized with no other action. Based on the other reviews I’m assuming this was just a bad magnet or was around other magnets or heat. Only one thing I ordered was broken, thankfully, but the boxes from everything else were completely crushed. This magnet is HEAVY and should probably not be packaged with breakable items... like light bulbs and Christmas ornaments, unless it has amazingly stable packaging to protect the other items... which it did not.
