For me, I’m not overly concerned about the durability of the case as I have heavy duty cases for instance where I know my phone may be at higher risk of taking a tumble but from prior experience with silicon cases on former phones, if you drop it then yes, it will create a noticeable mark but it’s a phone case. It’s intention is to protect your $1000 investment. Not to be indestructible and no silicone case is ever going to do that well if you drop it! I picked this case up for $40. It definitely is justified at that price as it’s more of a luxury case than a everyday use kind of case. $50 is maybe a bit much but if you can get it for $40 or less I’d definitely recommend going for it but be easy on the case. Don’t take it hiking or to a construction site. If it falls in a rugged environment like that, then yes, it absolutely will not hold up well. It’s not supposed to.
