Review: A bit dubious concerning accuracy in the beginning - I seemed to have variations in my EC measurements in the beginning. I used a calibration fluid, which that or the Truncheon were suspect. . I contacted Bluelab twice, they answered promptly and they gave me some good advice. If you don't have the cleaning kit; which I don't, they advise plain old baking powder. Make a paste and give the electrodes a good cleaning . I used a piece of chamois on a plastic handle (non oily) They sold these to clean styus on analog record decks. I began to use the Truncheon with confidence. I have tested my tap water which comes out between EC .3 / .4 - Rain water doesn't conduct and shows nothing on the scale as it should. I am sure it is working fine now. The nutrient charts showing dilution and target EC values are in the 'ball park'. Initially one considers it expensive? however the guarantee period gives assurance and value. The Truncheon is very well made/manufactured so very durable and should last a long time. Conclussion: very good value and recommended

**Q: Can I measure soil Nutrient with this meter, please?**
A: I assume you mean whether you can measure the ppm of the soil. No, you can't. You can however measure runoff but that's not an accurate solution. I suggested you get both this and the soil ph meter.

**Q: Does this measure ph**
A: Only EC/PPM. No Ph measurement

**Q: Do you need to use storage solution to keep it from breaking?**
A: I just rinse under tap and pack it away hope this helps

**Q: Can this be used for mixing feed for hand feeding?**
A: Yes you can use the Truncheon to stir up your nutrients.
