I took that risk with this cube and couldn't be happier with my purchase. The cube feels slightly heavy and nice and solid in the hand. It turns smoothly and doesn't get locked up. It's occasionally a little hard to keep the layers lined up to make a turn, but that is to expected with so many layers and it's not too much of a hassle to realign them. As far as solving the puzzle, if you're very new to Rubik's-style puzzles it'll for sure be pretty tricky for you.
