Does anybody know how this can be accessed? Datasheets don't seem to mention it.** A: AFAIK it is used to shutdown the board if it overheats and is not directly accessable. It may be setting a bit in a register somewhere (e.g. cool = 0, hot = 1) which can be readable, but I assume you are after an actual temperature and I don't think it is that sophisticated. **Q: What processor modue do each variant use? eg esp32 or esp32C3 or esp 32S2 or esp32S3** A: It says in the description of the goods!!!! **Q: can these be ran at 12V** A: Wouldn't advise it. Would probably burn out the on-board regulator (or other component). Stick to 5V / USB. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to get started with esp32 and to experienced people. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good ESP32 board, but beware of ESP32 versions *by R***G on 30 December 2023* They're an ESP32 board which works very well in my setup. I'm using ESP-IDF and making use of a couple of GPIO pins and the onboard Wi-Fi. Seems very reliable. My only quibble is with the version of the ESP32 chip used on these boards. I first bought one dispatched from AZ-Delivery in Germany as the dispatched-from-Amazon UK version had a longer delivery time. However, this was delayed probably due to customs, and as Amazon UK later had stock, I re-ordered dispatching from Amazon. The Amazon supplied board had a version 3 ESP32 chip, which meant that e.g. Secure Boot V2 was supported. The board from AZ-Delivery themselves has a version 1 ESP32 chip, meaning that Secure Boot V2 is not supported. Whether this matters depends on your application and whether you want to use features that are only available on ESP32 chip version 3.
