Born in the small town of Baden, Switzerland in 1961, Uli grew up in a musical family where his mother taught him to play the piano at the tender age of four. Trying to use this from a casio psr 170. midi connected, all I get is a faint click with each key press. whats wrong?** A: Check your keyboard is set to the same Midi Channel as the Behringer. Have you checked that you have enabled at least one of the oscillator, or even all three, outputs and that the main volume control is set at least midway. Try setting up a preset voice as per the original Mini Moog, google “mini Moog patch charts” **Q: Can anyone recommend a keyboard to connect to this ? Synth novice** A: For a beginner I'd go with a basic controller keyboard. If you're going to use a computer then there are numerous good, low-cost basic controller keyboards. They all come in various sizes, 25- and 49-keys are the most common. I use the Novation Launchkey because I use Ableton Live and all the Novations work particularly well with it. M Audio, Akai and Arturia all do good alternatives. If you're not going to use a computer then be careful to get one with a MIDI out (Launchkey doesn't have MIDI ports, for example - it only uses USB). I know the Arturia Keylabs have MIDI outs. There are lots of controllers so some googling will bring easy results. Be careful to get one with full size keys if that's important to you! **Q: Can i control this synth via my Behringer odyssey ? If so what cable do i need** A: Yes. You can use 3.5mm patch cables to connect the CV outputs and inputs between the instruments, and of course for straightforward playing of notes you can use MIDI; you can use a cheap mono headphone splitter for triggering both envelopes at the same time on the Model D or more sophisticated techniques.
