I can't call it a 'stereo' because it is so much more and it feels like I have been transported twenty years into the future!As a middle aged man I'm, actually not all that teccy and I feel like a lot of the capability of this is completely wasted on me, because I either don't use it or don't really know what it is, but here's what I have discovered so far:Firstly, fitting was reasonably straight forward after I had watched a few you tube videos and studied the instructions. You'll need a trim removal tool and a screwdriver or two, but everything else is supplied and here are different connectors supplied int he kit, so I think you'd be unlucky not to be able to tap into what is already in the car. I did toy with the idea of getting a professional to fit it for me, but I'm glad I had a go myself and from start to finish it took little over an hour. If you are at all competent then you'll probably do it in ten minutes!This links wirelessly with my iphone, although you can also connect with a cable if you like. I haven't used an android phone with it because...well, y'know, android, but it's also supposed to have that covered.There is a slot for an SD card, which you will need to get the most out of the connectivity for this device.What I like best is the AI voice companions. It's like Siri, if Siri actually worked properly and had a brain. Seriously, this thing is great and will only get better as AI improves, but it effectively means that you can control everything you need whilst driving by voice and it actually works. No more shouting at the stereo for me! From this perspective, this really is the next generation of car stereo. Even simple voice to text, which I have always hated using because it doesn't like my non RP accent, works properly and with hardly any errors. I actually gave up using voice to text before I got this. It's made a uge difference to my work because I drive a lot.The touch screen is responsive and works perfectly. The colours are vibrant and picture quality excellent. It makes mu car look ten years younger, which is amazing, because it 's only eight years old. I haven't done anything Millennial like hook up a games console etc, but it's good. It even makes using the sat nav easier.Sound wise, this is out of this world, and if you just wanted a decent head unit (do people still call them that?) then this is worth the money just for that. There is a 36 band equaliser and it has clever features like time sync for the speakers, so that everyone gets quality sound. Apparently it knows to adjust the time delay for your speed, but I'm not sure if that is just a gimmick. It does sound amazing though and it's such a difference from the stereo supplied in my car. I'd go so far as to declare it an audiophile's dream.There's so much to play with on this that I haven't even used a tenth of the features, but special mention to the car tracking app, which records journeys etc and makes fulling in my milage claim really easy!I think this is excellent value for the amount of tech, and it's a great way to breathe fresh life into a boring cabin if you haven't got an ultra modern car with one of those pop up screen thingies. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great upgrade for my car from work *by K***Y on 22 August 2024* The media could not be loaded. My car from work has an older stereo system and I have only access to radio and connecting my phone through bluetooth was quite difficult so I decided to upgrade the system with the seven inch qled touchscreen car stereo which has a bright unresponsive screen and makes it easy to navigate through different apps and settings.
