Component quality is nice, but it's limited. You can play through the included scenarios, but you don't really have the option to make your own with the included items. All the characters are pre-generated, so you're not really making any of them your own. On the plus side, that reduces setup time. In video game terms, this would be kind of like an extended tutorial. Or like the shareware copies back in the day where you get to sample self-contained missions to see if you like the game enough to buy the whole thing.
