Observe the rules for using the berry press: Depending on the mash (highly crushed fruit), a correct pressing process can be realised quickly and easily. Each type of fruit requires its own type of preparation. Grapes should be broken up beforehand. This can be done with a fruit mill or by hand. Pome fruit must be seeded beforehand. The amount of juice yield depends on the water content of the fruit and not on the effort of the operator. If properly prepared, the fruit can be easily pressed with one hand. With all presses of this type, it is not possible to press whole fruit. A mash (heavily crushed fruit) must be produced, otherwise a successful pressing process is not possible. A wine or fruit press cannot be compared with a juicer. Both products work completely differently. Grapes, e.g., cannot be processed in a juicer because the seeds are destroyed and bitter substances released. Only in a fruit press do the seeds remain intact and can the juice be processed into wine. Apples, pears, and other types of fruit must be processed into mash before pressing. Whole, half, and quartered fruits cannot be pressed.
