## Overview

The Dewhel CF13 3-pin electronic flasher relay is a compact, plug-and-play 12V device engineered to fix LED turn signal issues like rapid blinking or no flash. Supporting 0.02A to 20A current, it fits most Japanese 3-pin setups and features durable silver alloy contacts for reliable, long-term operation.

## Description

The LED flasher does not replace all flasher relay. Before ordering, please make sure the 3-pin configuration is the same as your vehicle's. You can usually find your flasher pin out printed right on your flasher. Failure to check this and installation in an incompatible vehicle can blow your fuse, destroy the flasher and void the flasher warranty.

Review: Easy replacement Flasher Relay for LED upgrade! - This product works just as it should. I upgraded my turn signals to LED bulbs. The other option would be to put resistors in the circuit in-line with the LED bulb, so that the original flasher relay would maintain the proper flasher speed. But I don't see the point of upgrading to LED if you'll be running the same amount of current draw on your car's electrical system. One of the benefits of LEDs is that they will be a lesser strain on the electrical system. With this relay, you can be assured that you'll get the proper turn signal flash speed with your LEDs while still also have lesser current draw on the electrical system. Two last points, this flasher relay is significantly quieter than the original. Although, I do not have a problem with this it is a point to make. And there's also reviewers that mention the relay will click several times after the turn signal is shut off. That is to say the clicker noise will continue, but the flash to the turn signals will be shut off. So there's no delay in shutting off the flasher circuit, it's just that there's a couple clicks before the relay is completely quiet. It can be annoying to some, I would imagine, but there is the added benefit that the relay is quiet and takes someone listening for it to realize that it happens at all. Great product for a low price, I would recommend for those swapping to LED turn signals.
Review: 2004 Frontier - This one worked perfectly. Unfortunately a different Flasher, the EP34, didn't do anything but buzz. This one worked like a charm. The flash rate is fine also. Thank you for an accurate description and a great product. December 2018 update. I had a curious episode. When I turned on my lights my rear running lights would flicker in time with my directional light. That could cause a problem so I installed a resistor on the left rear side. The resistor solved 1/2 the problem but the right side still acted up unless I put an incandescent bulb back in the tail/brake light socket. Ultimately I had to add a resistor to the brake/tail light assembly on the right rear side to stop that flicker. Now all is operating well. I just included this because I had read that playing with the electrical system can raise all sorts of issues so I stayed with it patiently until I stumbled on the right combination. I had figured that if the system wanted to 'see' a regular bulb in the brake/tail light position then I would trick it into believing that one was there. So that's how I ended up with a resistor on one tail (directional) light and one on the tail/brake (running/brake) light on the opposite side. I'm not going to mull it over any further....I really don't care about the mechanics of it. I just know it works. I stayed with it until I resolved it and now I have it working fully. I'm a very happy customer and I appreciate the feedback left by others because it helped point me in the right direction and caused me to try things I would not otherwise have thought of. Thank You all for your contributions.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works in my 1997 Aerostar, with a mix of LED and incandescent, but interferes with cruise control.
*by P***N on February 23, 2021*

It lacks the steel "L" tab on the top to bolt it to the assembly. I resolved that by attaching it, with a small piece of "Atomic" grip tape, above the old flasher, which suits me, now I can easily move the wiring back to the old flasher if necessary. The first change in function I discovered (perhaps I should have assumed) is that a failed light is no longer indicated by a change in the flash rate. I will leave that problem for another day. Cruise control function is evidently unaffected, in my Aerostar, by the change (I tested that). It does look as if it's a bit larger than the flasher it's replacing (which, I discovered- I am not the original owner, isn't labeled EP-34, but apparently functions as one). That isn't an issue here, but it might be for you, if you try to put it in a square hole sized for an EP-34.
