Review: Good no-nonsense wellie - I spend most of my (now retired) days in wellingtons in the garden. So they get heavy usage and have to cope with West Wales weather. I've tried various makes, including Hunter's, but these, the cheapest I've bought, have lasted better than all the others and been more comfortable. I have had to buy a replacement pair after over 2 years of daily wear - the Hunters didn't last a year. The downside to them is not much in the way of insulation on cold days (not been a problem with the current climate) and the tread being on the large side, leading to pebbles getting trapped along with mud. But overall, good value for money.

I'm writing this review in May 2023. I bought these in August 2020, and I'm about to order a new pair as a split has developed in the upper left side (near big toe) of the right-hand boot, and this is now letting in water from dewy grass. I feel this is pretty good wear for the many miles of daily dog-walking I have done in just shy of 3 years. They've been comfortable and a little large for my size 10.5 feet but I need that to allow for an arch support plus a insole liner for warmth and support. As mentioned by one or two other reviews the large tread under the heel often traps mud/gravel/pebbles, but I guess you have to live with that. I'm happy enough to order the same boots as I think they've given good VFM.
