Mason jars work fine BUT when being at work or at the gym, I wanted a solution for the annoying spoon situation. Finally, not a plastic spoon but a solid one that actually works pretty well. If anything, one might improve it further so it won't fold back up regardless of what side I put the pressure on. Other than that, I LOVE that the spoon is actually in a separate compartment that way it stays clean til usage and I don't need an extra container to store away my dirty used spoon because plastic cutlery is no option for me.
