This product detect changes in light to trigger a count. In that the product is successful. The only problem is that light is every where at all times and ever changing. So when I installed it at the door near floor level to hide it, literally any shift in light triggers a count. Had it installed and with zero people entering and leaving the building it counted 31 visits in about 5 minutes. This product is hot garbage. Don’t waste your money.
