I try not to wash my hair every day and this bar supports that. It has lasted 2 months since I purchased it and I'm only about half way through. The packaging is completely recyclable (it's paperboard). I do let it air out so it won't completely melt away. It suds a little different from how I am used to with liquid shampoo, but like any bar of soap, rub it on the part of your head that needs soap and presto! Nice foam to scrub with. It does tend to dry out the ends of my hair so I don't wash the ends, only the roots, which is what I think you're supposed to do any ways. I do use a bit of conditioner on the ends of my hair. Interestingly, my hair has significantly gotten thicker and stronger after using this shampoo bar. I don't know if it's due to the shampoo or due to the cycle my hair is in. Whatever, I'm happy with it and will continue using it. OH! Also, it did NOT wash out my purple streaks in my hair! I was shocked to find purple still in my hair!
