The most daunting part is removing the old shifter. Place in neutral and pull upwards firmly, avoid where possible hitting windscreen as that will be expensive. The wiring is very straightforward and if you follow the instructions the new gear knob and old gear indicators will light up. I opted to change my gear gaiter and not use the old led panel.
