Keratex hoof hardener is a renowned product for strengthening the horses hoof horn.     Worth a go cheeper than keep loosing shoes in the mud.

Don’t like the smell can’t tell if it’s helping I think it is but still early days .my horse heavy cob lost it front shoes in very wet field and advised by farrier to use it and see how he goes barefoot never shod behind . Not cheep but you use tiny amount so will last.

I have used this product over a lot of years. I had a thoroughbred who had very brittle hooves which improved massively when I used Keratex. I now have a Lipizzan who has good feet and I am trying to keep unshod
