Make sure you shake tube for 1 minute first to allow color to mix. After 1-2 weeks of every day you can go to once every 3-4 days. I am 50 and have always had brownish red hair, which had turned to mostly grey. Using Control GX shampoo, I have gradually gotten rid of a lot of my grey hair and have gotten back the brownish red color.It is important to me that you can control how much grey you get rid of. I dont want to be 50 and not have any grey. That's a dead giveaway that it is colored. It took a couple of weeks to get the color that I wanted. I didn't and don't use it everyday and my hair is a brownish red just like before. I have gotten the longer hair on top darker than I wanted, but still no one seemed to notice. My wife and I can tell the difference, but since there is still some gray, it looks natural. The shampoo darkens longer hair faster, but also works on short hair. Some days I shampoo the shorter hair on the sides and leave the longer hair on top alone.I can't say enough good things about Control GX.
