The interior texture (filling) was exactly what my children were looking for. It had a nice grip and slow recovery to original shape. However, the shell broke open easily and the stress ball was no longer useable. That was very disappointing as this toy/stress ball was supposed to be made to squeeze and pull on as a stress reliever.
