First, it is a thin fan grill with a domed shape. It allows you to mount it between a case fan and the case. As a result its surface is on the same level as the surrounding area. Coupled with it's color, the grill is kind of "hidden." It has the look of the mesh grills often seen on car and house speakers. The uniform mesh with high hole surface area allows maximum airflow with minimum noise increase. This fan grill looks more "stuffed" than a traditional fan grill, but the hole to surface ratio is very high. Second, these screens provide acceptable filtering, especially large particles and dusts often found in households and offices. Super sturdy! *by I***R on May 18, 2019* Fractal Design Node 202 SFF VR gaming system. If you use a Zotac GTX 1080 mini, you have the room to install one of these and vent out all the hot via the top of the case. It is a super strong grille, and I performed several tests and was very surprised to find that with or without the grill my temps remained the same, else I could not have used it. I just wish you sold them for 50 mm fans! (I need 2!). Thank you!!! (shown in the pic not attached as I'm still modifying my case - painting edges of the hole in the aluminum) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HIdes Cutout Pretty Well *by S***9 on January 6, 2013* I needed this as a cover for an 80mm exhaust hole I cut in the desk to vent the computer compartment which was getting too hot with the door closed. The mesh on this grill is small enough to hide the hole I cut without obstructing airflow too bad.
