The DS300 has the capacity torecord and retrieve worker data and vehicle data cutting down on administrative time andensuring reports are maintained and communicated to customers. An ODBIIreader/scanner/maintenance tool on steroids.I ran basic ODBII tests and several built in maintenance test and found out things about my2013 Grand Caravan I did not know and fix couple of problems within minutes. Most notablyfound out key fob unlock button was stuck preventing remotes from working. I have fixed thefob but more importantly saved the $350 dealer replacement fee. In other words this one fixwould almost pay for the scanner.DS300 is physically a decent feeling unit. Both the DS300 and ODBII dongle have a cleanand robust construction. After an initial charge boot up was fast and connection to the dongleand internet was smooth.I am backyard/driveway car repair guy. Over the years I have purchased and used several“ODBII” type devices to read and set/reset ODBII codes. Some features are for a real mechanic but nice to havec) Keeps a data base of shops and workers that would use the DS300, no need tokeep adding your data, just select a name of a shop or workers and their data fields will fill in,time saver.d) If you enter email addresses for customers reports can be maunaly or automaticallysent to customers. In addition every report may be saved in the DS300, all saved reportsmay be retrieved ande) only real vehicle data required is a VIN number. DS300 has a VIN finder. It did notwork on my 2013 Dodge Caravan. Entered the VIN number in manually and it found myvehicle immediately.f) Visual display of data points on a recorder type display. You pick data points youwant to display there they are, nice and clear on a strip chart recorded. This is a great featurewhen you are trouble shooting and need to know which data point is doing what.g) ODBII connector fit perfectly and was recognized and connected to DS300 with noissues.3) Tests I Tried:a) Full ODBII scan: Outcome was a great looking report with all warnings and errorcodes displayed. Touching any error code allowed retrieval of the error code meaning andfixes by launching web pages using built in Chrome browser. I had no WIFI in the drive waybut easily connected to my phone set up as a hotspot. So as long as you have mobile datayou can connect your DS300 to the internet.b) Diagnostic Scan: Again all the data you could every want. I had no idea that a boxsuch as this could return all the usual and expected data points but also give you things likeclock data, key fob data, each instrument panel light and the list goes on.c) Tried sending reports via email, worked as requiredd) saved reports as PDFs and was able to retrieve and read the report directly on theDS300e) there are many features and functions that I simply did not have the time to try.4) What did the DS300 tell me:a) Only dashboard alarm at the time of testing was a TPM light. DS300 confirmed allfour TPM modules were working (even gave serial number of TPM units) and current tirepressures and stated min/max pressures. DS300 indicated left rear tire was low at 29 psi.Pumped up the tire to required 32 psi and reset the TPM light, all good two days laterb) My key fob remote lock/unlock quite working. Maintenace test suggested the keyfob lock button was stuck. Dismantled the key fob and the error cleared. Now all I need to doif re-work the key fob to unstick the lock button. Better than a couple hundred bucks for anew fob.c) DS300 returned all the data you would expect plus more along with all warningcodes. I had been chasing my tail but this device put me on the right track. Still learning to use it, but so far so good. Scanner is built with quality and sturdiness. Should last for years. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing tool! *by L***G on Reviewed in the United States on 2 September 2024* I've only really scratched the surface of that this device can do, but wow, it can do everything! Ancel was recommended to me by a mechanic friend of mine. I used it to program a new key to my Ford vehicle. If you only have 1 key normally you need to take it to the dealer to have another one programmed, so I basically paid for the device with the money I saved not having to do that.
