This cone makes a great cup of pour over coffee, smooth and rich (I use about 2 coffee scoops per mug, three for the tall travel mug) and I can drink it without concern for chemicals. It's also a little faster than the plastic one. I love the windows that show you how full the mug is - that's a great idea and I don't know why all cones don't have them!My only problem here is that the base isn't very versatile with fitting different mug sizes. It's too small for my wide Ikea coffee mugs, which are almost 4" wide. I can sort of get it to fit, but of the two times trying with those mugs, the second time it fell, sending coffee grinds onto the counter and my sleeve. It's too wide for my 2.5" travel mug (Contigo) because the inner ring of the base is the same size as the rim of the mug. I make it work by perching it on top, but it could easily fall off if I'm not careful. I'm definitely not going back to a plastic cone, but at least that was versatile enough to work on all mugs. I should have measured my mugs before buying this. With so much variation in mug design/mug size though, I consider it a design flaw that it isn't more versatile. If it fit my mugs I'd be giving it 5 stars because it's a great cup of coffee and I love the windows. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Takes Standard Filters, Great Coffee, Doesn't Fit Some Mugs *by A***L on Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2021* Bottom line it is a great dripper with a few limitations. The good: It comfortably accepts standard coffee filters, makes very good coffee, and looks decent. The bad: It doesn't fit a lot of different sized mugsThis mug will only fit mugs with opening diameters (wall to wall) in between 2.5 and 3.5 inches. If it's too small, the inside "lip" will not sit inside the mug, and it will be unstable. If it's too large, the outside "wings" are not wide enough, and it will slip and topple over. Take a look at your mugs before purchasing...or be prepared to return this.That said, it has many good aspects. Standard #2 and #4 cone filters work with this, which was a big factor for me because I didn't want to be locked into a proprietary filter. It will also accommodate permanent steel cone filters. It'll take some trial and error with beans, filter type, grind size, steep time, etc., to figure out what works best for you. But this will consistently make an excellent mug once you nail it down.Other than that, I think it looks good and has a nice weight to it. It is not plastic (somewhat important to me), but that also means it could break if mishandled. Five stars if it fits most of your mugs. Look for something else if it does not. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this Coffee Dripper *by A***C on Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2018* While it took a while to receive all the way from Japan, I am soooo happy I purchased it.First of all, it was packaged beautifully by the seller. I was concerned with traveling all that way it might come broken. NOPE!!! The seller put enough buffer packaging to keep the item safe.Next, while the coffee does pour in more quickly than other pour-overs we've had, I've rectified that by pouring over the first batch then pouring over once again for a fuller bodied taste. I LOVE IT. Now, you may have to heat up the coffee after the second pour over but I have found that it's very much worth it.I also like that there isn't the concern about the filter area building up mildew like another family member's pour-over does. YUCK. This Bee House Coffee Dripper goes straight from the filter into the coffee cup.
