### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great product to put my sporting rifle to bed
*by B***R on January 5, 2020*

Hey, this stuff isn't cheap, but it is the best product for rifle bedding, particular rifle bedding. Mixing can be bit tedious, it's not 1:1 like many epoxies. I used a small electronic kitchen scale to weigh out the necessary 9:1 ratio of the two compounds. Be careful to not cross-contaminate the two separate ingrediant containers, so as not to cause the ingrediants to react and set-up. In the back pillar area of the wood stock, I had removed too much material. When applying the somewhat stiff epoxy blend, it was fairly easy to build a small dam with blue masking tape coated with neutral shoe polish (releasing agent) and fill in the area with epoxy, while seating the rear pillar area. I gave it 24 hours to cure, after that it was fairly easy to use a small metal pick to remove/trim any small excess epoxy. The result was a solid rifle assembly and stock, with a free floating barrel. I also used this epoxy to bed the scope rail to the rifle barrel, assuring a tight seal and hopefully improving accuracy. Check the Internet for several good instructional YouTube videos about rifle pillar bedding and other epoxy uses for more information. This product amazed me with quality and utility. The package has enough product to do 6-10 similar bedding projects. I am sure that you can find many other great uses of this Devcon product.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Use it for bedding rifles and in the garage for repairing anything made of metal
*by J***Y on March 15, 2022*

It's good stuff. BUT, use a release agent on your rifle barrel and action, buff it bright and then put another coat on for good measure, and watch out for mechanical locks or you are in for more fun than a barrel of monkeys trying to separate the parts once they are cured. Shoe polish or Johnson's Paste Wax works good and plumber's putty in all of the holes. Take care to put release agent on the action screws and trying to keep it out of pillars is a good idea, especially if there is a shoulder on the false action screws like on Score High adjustable pillars. I have had a few people show up with an action solidly affixed to their stock and then used dry ice to break the Devcon loose and/or had to peek in and look around between the stock and action then use a very fine cutting tool like a half dozen Micro-Mark blades on one of their handles to cut through the Devcon to cut away a mechanical lock. The steel inthe Devcon dulls the blades very quickly. It also seems to work for repairs on a "Green Egg" barbeque to repair even a smashed lid. It appears it stands up to heat. I had a friend use it, but think there are better Devcon products out there for that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stuff and easy to work with.

The Devon epoxy works great for bedding of my rifles. Using the Kiwi neutral shoe polish for a release agent the actions come free easily and leave a great finished surface on the epoxy.
