It performs excellently under well-lit conditions; but under dark conditions (like most roads in winter) it suffers poor contrast, banding and flickering - but is still more than adequate for my purposes! As an action cam, it is waterproof, robust, and although the supplied with few mounting options, a decent camera, especially for the price - but having said that I would probably class it as an entry-level camera; but it will certainly do me for a long time if it performs as well as it has been!
