Would you recommend the L or XL?** A: Sounds like you're a "tweener." I'm 15.25 which puts me into the outside range of the XL and the beginning range of the XXL. I tried the XL for the snugger fit but the adjustable straps (that originate in the back) were pinching the flesh in the back of my knee... without pulling them tight at all. So I ordered the larger size, kept both for a week and compared that way. The XXL has stretched out a bit at the top and the bottom, which can be dealt with by tightening the straps. And when I do that, I don't get the pinch of the XL. My recommendation would be to buy both and return one. I looked through and read so many reviews and came across the shock doctor ultra. I have worn it to teach now for a couple of weeks and it is AMAZING!! because of the hinges down each side of my knee there is no way it can rotate or move where I dont want it to, it is held still and in place. I dont wear it all day as I need my knee, muscles, ligaments to work and recover but for the classes it is brilliant. I wanted to do a review in case there is any instructors out there looking for something. It is more expensive but so worth it I promise you. This brace was recommended by a Physio on YouTube so I thought I’d give it a go.I was worried it would be too small as I ordered the S based on the size & measurement guidelines but then read reviews that say it runs small so order a size up. This was not the case for me & the S fits perfectly and is even starting to get a bit loose at the top and the elastic Velcro straps are already stretched out.I still would recommend this brace as it’s extremely supportive & doesn’t fall down as others do.I would agree with another reviewer who said it’s impossible to take off after the gym if you’re sweating or it gets damp. I really struggle to remove it after a work out.
