Run a little large *by R***A on October 26, 2017* Oh my gosh! These are adorable! I love the oxford style, but they rarely have any support. THESE DO!!! I pretty much can't wear any sort of heeled shoe above a half inch because I have mild bunions on both feet and that pressure really gets to me quickly. Walking in these, I couldn't even tell I was in a heeled shoe. They have a rubbery bottom under the stacked heal, which absorbs shock really nicely. They don't make my feet look giant like most orthopedically friendly shoes, yet the toe box was roomy. Great for skinny jeans or a dress. So cute with attractive details. The perforated leather is on the tongue and wraps around the back of the heal. It has a slightly metallic bronze color to it, which isn't super apparent in the photos, but I think it's very attractive and makes the shoe look super expensive! The Stone color would match so many outfits! Great price at Amazon!I will say, they do run a little large. I wear an 8.5 typically and I like a roomier shoe (bunions), I ordered size 39, but am exchanging for size 38 because my heal wasn't meeting the back of the shoe and it was sliding up a bit even laced tight. FYI, I have a heeled pair of Dansko boots in 39 that fit perfect, so the sizes seem to vary from model to model. I will update when the 38's arrive! I can't wait!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ runs large - order down *by M***N on September 3, 2016* I've been wearing a size 8 or a 38 my entire adult life; I have average feet - not wide and not thin. I always wear a 38 in Dansko, however, the 38 in the Louise is much too big. It fit more like an 8 1/2 or a 39 to me. The shoes felt loose immediately upon putting them on. The heal was too wide, the toe area too large, and it was too long. The 37 fits perfectly and is what I ended up purchasing. It fits comfortably with thin socks and also with tights, snug but not tight in any way. They are a soft yet strong leather. I sprayed them with a waterproof spray before wearing and it rained the first time they were worn. No water stains on the shoes and the color (stone) looks great; it's a medium-dark, worn grey - like slate. They are incredibly comfortable. The first time I wore them was for a five hour flight and they never felt tight or restrictive. I also wore them for a 15 hour travel day with multiple flights and a lot of walking and was comfortable the entire time. Best of all, they look great and not like the usual "comfortable shoe".I gave four stars because the sizing is not what one expects from Dansko, if you're used to wearing Dansko. I would give five stars for comfort and style once adjusting for size discrepancy. The quality of Dansko has deteriorated since production has moved from the US, but the quality of the Louise seems to be very good. Only time will tell. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute and stylish shoe with a nice fit *by L***E on April 11, 2018* These are really cute. I got them today and have been wearing them sockless without any major rubbing issues. I normally wear either a 7.5 or an 8 and these do have a little room for me, but would probably fit slightly better with a sock. Still, if you're a straight 7.5 generally I might try the size down. Have gotten tons of compliments already today. I live in NYC so I walk a LOT and so far these have been pretty comfortable! Will update if I end up with any blisters etc.These do have a bit more of a sheen to them than you see in the photos that are posted, but it's not patent level shiny. I am sure this will tone down a bit with wear, as well. If you're looking for a matte finish though (I was), it may take some time to get there.
