Due to the room limitations of how substantial they could be, and still fit an SES bulb, they are pretty good.But I have found them easier to fit my first fitting the SES bulb to the adaptor and then fitting the whole unit into the bayonet connector of the lamp / light fitting you are using.But do not overtighten either the bulb when fitting into the adaptor or when twisting the bulb and adaptor into the light fitting. There is a lot of plastic that isn't too thick and it will be possible to break these.From what I measured they ad just less than 2cm to the overall height of the bulb from the base of the fitting.
