My son and daughter divvied up the colors. They are made of a sturdy mesh material and the seams and zipper are on the more durable/rugged end for what is essentially a pencil pouch. The width is slightly longer than a pencil, so you could easily fit/access all manner of writing instruments. It holds a surprising amount. We just started this financial system with the kids and a first step was to help each child empty and sort their piggy banks among the three categories. They had quite a bit of change accumulated, more than I realized, but it all fit and the pouch was able to handle the weight just fine for now (until we can convert into bills). Very easy for my kids to handle on their own and the colors are vivid and inviting.
