And it definitely has a moisturizing feel - a bit smoother as Chapstick and a similar sort of stickiness on the lips, though not on the cheeks (thank goodness). It was actually easy to overdo it on the cheeks and end up not just "glowing" but perhaps "feverish". I haven't tried the blending sponge - which will help a lot. Hand blending wasn't great. The stick is a good shape for cheek use, as you really want to dab only a little bit there.For the lips, it was a bit trickier, as the applicator is broad and blunt - not as angled as an actual lipstick would be. There was a lot of dabbing a lip smacking going on to get the lips a color that's paler than my usual.I have to give it a thumbs up on color, too. I picked the best color (I hoped) for my skin, but when I tried it on my hand I thought "this is gonna be bad, I'm gonna look like a sickly member of the cast of Cabaret". But I gave it a try - and was really surprised that when blended in, it plays well with my skin tone and is pretty normal looking.I mostly use outrageous makeup for stage shows, and rarely for everyday looks. So the modest level of pigmentation may not work for my use case. But if I wanted to jazz up my look after hitting the gym, I would definitely throw this in my gym bag with some eyeliner, a face powder and maybe a light shadow.
