I wanted a platform slightly larger than a Chester but not as huge as some of the largest pedals out there - I decided these were a good option for my size 10.5 feet. Not sure what more you could ask for from a set of pedals. They’re on the higher end of the price spectrum but certainly there are many more expensive options. The pins are exactly what I was looking for. With Five Ten shoes the grip is incredible and at first adjusting my feet was very difficult but I’m getting used to having to lift my foot a bit to adjust position. The pins are not as bone smashingly sharp as some other pedals I’ve ridden and it’s nice to not always be bleeding after the smallest contact with your shin or calf. Aesthetically these are gorgeous. Beautiful. Artwork. Quality construction and feels like the premium components they are. The slim design minimizes rock strikes directly below but the larger than most overall width does mean you will have to be aware of pedal strikes. I’ve taken some good ones on solid rock and no visible damage to the pedal yet. Coming from some raceface Chester’s, these are a whole new level of grip and pride of ownership. Obviously they should be at 2x the price.
