Review: I've had this rack for about 5 years now. It was definitely one of the priciest racks at the time but it has lived up to its value proposition very well. It is solid and rugged: perfect for heavier ebikes. Easy to mount/dismount your bike: Rack arm in position and strap the rear wheel - done! I love the built-in cable locks (though I use a separate lock as well). The flip up storage and tilt-down modes works great with my van that has a large swing up door allowing rear hatch access with the bikes still mounted. Overall, a very functional, well-designed, rugged - and dare I say, a work of art!

The combo doesn't move at all or rattle when driving, no noise, and no worrying if the bikes are moving around because of play at the receiver. I picked the drivers side swing to completely get bikes out of the way of my bronco tailgate and tire. I do think, after installing the set up, that either drivers side or passenger side would work on a bronco with no interference.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: will this rack go completely horizontal? Have a '17 Toyota Tundra and will need access to and open tailgate upon taking my bike off rack.**
A: It folds back to about 35 degrees... my guess is you wouldn’t have to fold the rack out of the way at all once the bike is off rack and just open the tailgate. It should just about cover the rack when down and won’t impede access to the truck bed at all.

**Q: Does it block access to your truck bed?**
A: The Kuat folds down and doesn't necessarily block the tailgate. I drive a Ram 1500 and needed to get a Kuat Hi-Lo to drop it the extra inch I needed to get the tailgate from not touching the rack. That said, I could have done without the Hi-Lo. I just didn't want to take the chance of scratching the paint on my tailgate. Kuat also makes the Pivot which will swing the rack out of the way of the tailgate.

**Q: How long and wide is this two bike rack?**
A: The specs are in the description.

**Q: Can this fit a fat tire bike?**
A: I think Sergio means 4.8" tires which I have on a Surly Moonlander and as far as I know are the fattest fat bike tires commonly sold. I just put the Moonlander on this rack and the front wheel fits but you will need a strap extension to fix the back tire (4.8") in place which they sell separately, about $10.

I've had this rack for about 5 years now. It was definitely one of the priciest racks at the time but it has lived up to its value proposition very well. It is solid and rugged: perfect for heavier ebikes. Easy to mount/dismount your bike: Rack arm in position and strap the rear wheel - done! I switched to this product after 5 years of using 4 bike hanging rack from Yakima, which is amazing product by itself as long as it is used for max 3 bikes. As our family started to bike more, I had to carry 4 bikes and Yakima just was not able to carry 4 bikes no matter how much I tried. 3 was the max and that was painful (literally) too. I spent min 10 minutes of stressful loading the bikes and never had really good safe feeling about longer trips. My Advice - If you want to carry 4 bikes - do not look at the hanging racks. They always handle n-1 bikes max. Platform racks are the way to go. The first thing, which I have to say - Kuat is heavy. Not because of the weight, 65 pounds is not that much, but the shape makes it feel heavy and you have to use some strength to load it onto car. Once it is hitched, the problem stops and you will start to understand why you paid 1000 bucks for something. The loading of the bikes takes no time, the system feels sturdy and safe. I have no movement from the rack during driving at all - the key seems to be, while securing the hitch, you have to lift it up while turning the knob. The black looks really great on my 4Runner and the combination with the opening rear window on the 4Runner is making this product even more easy to use - I never needed to tilt it so far. Be aware, that you need 20''-24'' wheel adapter for the bikes of that size. Kuat sends them for free on request. Would expect it to be mentioned when you actually buy the product but no problem.
