All, I want to do is play vinyl.** A: Jeez, you guys are savage. Not much setup. Turntables are as easy to set up as a DVD player. **Q: What would be a good aftermarket needle to purchase?** A: I bought the turntable on the recommendation of a friend who is a professional dj... he told me that for casual listening, the included stylus was fine. If you are still interested in upgrading, I can ask him if you like. **Q: Would this be good to use for broadcasting? Does it have low motor noise? Can I cue up vinyl? I would run it thru mixer to my PC. Advice appreciated!** A: I haven't heard an ounce of motor noise come through this, it runs beautifully. It doesn't have an auto-matic cue and it should run through a mixer just fine **Q: Does anyone have any speakers they would recommend to go with the turntable?** A: You have a tuner/amp between your turntable and your speakers- that is what should dictate the speakers you should look at- plus how much $ you want to spend. If your records are not in good condition, that will effect your sound more than your speakers will. However with my more recent purchase of the second turntable, I decided to go through a cheaper alternative, an Amazon user called 'GEKKO100'. This did not turn out well as I was sent a European mains plug rather than the UK mains plug. This was not a massive problem, but it was slightly annoying; seeing as I'd forked out the cash to get it.
