It's a bit pricey for something to use at home, but for the use I'm going to put it to, it will pay for itself several times over compared to the frustration of self-adhesive laminating pouches (I've used in the past), or having to pay one of the box stores like Kinkos, Fed-Ex, or UPS store to do it for me.For home use, you can use it for loads of stuff, ranging from kids projects, photos, recipe cards/sheets, emergency address/contacts lists for kids to keep in their backpacks, etc. I also use it for role playing game character sheets, as these can get destroyed by constant erasing of things like hit points, AC, etc. Laminating the document allows you to use dry or wet-erase markers for things like this, saving the sheet.I like the fact that it has the simplest controls on it. If you're using 3, 4, or 5 mil pouches, you simply press that button on the front, and the unit automatically adjusts its settings. I have done several 8.5"x11" 3mil laminations, and they all took roughly 45 seconds from inserting the page to removing it. Obviously, it will take longer for thicker pouches, but since all of mine are 3 mil, I couldn't test that part.The only sticking point I have on this unit is the price. For the average person who only laminates a few things a year, it's probably not really worth the cost. If you're a teacher, a parent who wants to protect things your kids make, or just a handy person at home, then this is for you.Sarki provided me with one of these for my unbiased review. The fact that they sent it to me in no way affects my opinion on this. If a product is crap, I'll let you know about it. Check my other reviews. In fact, I had to spend $25 of my own money to purchase the pouches, because I knew I would use them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great laminator with insufficient manual *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2018* Sarki A3 (and A4 & A6) laminator looks great and functions as it supposed to. This is my first laminator; so, I can't really compare with others. I am glad I was able to laminate a few items without really reading the manual because the manual is woefully insufficient (although it does say the buyers should read it thoroughly before using the machine). The manual, in five different languages, does not describe what each button is for. Three buttons for 3-mil, 4-mil, and 5-mil are NOT discussed; how does an operator know which button to use? How thick an item can I laminate? The manual does not say, in layman's terms (e.g., "up to three sheets of average weight of copy papers). I am just grateful the machine is working fine now, but, I don't know what type of usage may damage the rollers in the future (e.g., if I were to laminate an autumn leaf with bright red/yellow foliage, would the stem of that leaf damage the rollers such that subsequently inserted thin paper lamination will not be pulled/rolled through properly?) Sarki needs to update their manual, for sure. The manual has a misspelling, does not mention A6 size capability (even though it can), and "Sarki" is not mentioned anywhere in the document. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful look. Just don’t leave it unattended *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2018* Well it’s a beautiful looking laminator so it has that going for it. I used it the first time and it worked perfectly. Second time no problems. Third time I turned away to do something else. When I came back I couldn’t find my sheet. I searched the floor thinking it flew somewhere. I interrogated my dog momo to see if my 2.5 lb chihuahua sabotaged me. I then decided to run something else and right before my eyes it went in one end and never came out the other!!! The good news I was able to unscrew the cover and mess with it. I had to use a knife and pliers to remove the wrapped sheets. After I put it back together I was able to resume using it. Moral of the story. It’s a beautiful laminator just don’t trust it alone!!!
