Unfortunately, the mask is not 100% UV proof. I used my UV meter to measure it and some UVA/UVB gets through the fabric. I make sure only to bike before 10 am and after 4, plus wear the mask to reduce my skin cancer risks. On the plus side, the mask is pretty breathable and I don't have too much problem with sweating under it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Covers great, a bit tight on the nose, no breathing vent *by R***L on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2017* The balaclava is not as lightweight as I expected. It does not have any breathing holes so you just breathing through the fabric, which causes heat and moisture to build up within the face of the mask. The mask is tight across the bridge of the nose which restricts nose breathing. I have also had problems with it fogging my glasses since there are no breathing holes which causes the exhaust to vent under your eyes and onto your glasses.I like the hood, it fits really good and covers more of my face than most other hoods. I have to wear a hat to cover the skin on my forehead that this mask does not. It is heavier than expected so summer time fishing is a bit warm, so I will have to reserve this for the fall and winter. If the face mask had breathing holes to vent your exhaust then this mask would be a top performer. ### ⭐⭐⭐ May not be right for people who wear glasses *by E***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2016* I wear glasses, and exhaling with the mask on tends to direct humid air toward the back side of my glasses. On cool or cold days they fog up. This is especially a problem when wearing the mask while exercising vigorously (running, cycling) along a street, when it is important to be able to see clearly.
