I've used them for a few different workouts now and I think they work great. The smooth side (the shiny side without the logo on it) allows me to easily and safely on carpet. I have yet to try them on a wood or tile floor. They are a good size and the carrying pouch makes them very easy to travel with. Best of all, they're a fraction of the cost of a lot of the other options. So *that's* how you can use them on carpet!More detail:I've used this sort of equipment in gym classes where the bottom part was a kind of heavy fabric, and went looking for what I'd used before to do all those awesome exercises like mountain climbers at home. Figured I'd use them in my apartment foyer (I know! weird!) because there's tile there; I didn't imagine there'd be anything available that would work on carpet, which is most of my home's flooring. So I came to Amazon to find something like I'd used before and just live with doing goofy exercises in common areas.Then saw these and manufacturer and reviewers both say you can use them on carpet, and I wondered exactly how that would work, but bought them.Got them today. Tried them out right away and they worked very well! I have berber (apartment standard) carpet. The discs aren't slippery because your body weight on them creates friction between the plastic bottom and carpet.Just what I was looking for! You too perhaps if using on carpet or maybe linoleum -- but I'd get different ones if using on hardwood or tile floors.
