Review: i had to take i apart, didn't i? - me being me, i had to take it apart to see if i could adjust it to fit my stylistic preferences better. naturally, the casing is now ruined. completely on me. other commenters are completely right when it comes to the magnetic joint to hold it to your glasses. it came with two: the first joint was really strong, but had no versatility, and the second one used a base plate to link the magnet, but the base plate was really weak, and the arm it was connected to wasn't nearly strong enough to keep it in place. i'd give it a 97/100. picture quality is incredible if you click through the resolution settings, but i wasn't able to get it at my preferred resolution and also keep it in place, which was more an issue of the arm than the device itself. i tried experimenting with removing the shell because it was way too thick and heavy to hang off my glasses, but nothing would come close to looking as good without also being really bulky. if i could have gotten the screen to the other side of my lenses (closer to my eye than my glasses are), the resolution would have been perfect, but alas such is life. once i had taken the casing apart, the device miraculously still worked, which is actually very rare for me, so i can personally attest that if it can survive me, it can survive proper, regular use. still, i'd recommend getting a rare earth magnet or two to fully affix it. doing it this way would work best for magnetic-frame glasses, as long as they aren't thin, like granny glasses are. if i could change anything about them... i'd not damage the casing -_-'
Review: screen died 1 day out of warranty - The day after the 1 year warranty elapsed the screen died and is now the unit is completely useless. When it did work it was a bit limited in practical use: I intended to use it with professional video cameras but it only accepts 720P input so whilst DSLMs like the A7s worked fine, larger cams like FS7, F5 did not. Plus the screen is too small and the viewing angle is too narrow - it really has to be positioned very precisely in front of the eye to be able to view it. Overall very disappointed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this device be used on the left eye with the cable ports facing upwards ? i.e. can the image be flipped within the device. Thanks**
A: On the device itself, no. However, if your output device lets you rotate your display image, you can "flip" the Vufine Display image in whatever display settings menu your device uses and it should work fine. I've tried it with my laptop and everything seemed okay. If you're really looking for a left-eye version of Vufine+, the company is selling a limited-run left-eye version directly on their website.

**Q: what about prescription glasses?**
A: It can clip on your existing frames.
But I find it fiddly.

**Q: what is the native resolution of the display? Not what format will it 'take up to', but how many actual pixels are there?**
A: The resolution is 960X540.

### ⭐ screen died 1 day out of warranty

### ⭐⭐⭐ Not a bad product for the price
*by J***L on 3 July 2021*

Decent screen and product for the official price ($200 from supplier, don't buy at the £300, its not worth that price) it is decent. There was a £60 customs charge to ship to the UK. The screen is good for video watching. reading will easily strain your eyes. I've pushed it to play CSGO and seemed moderately okay despite the strain but wouldn't recommend for games. The rubber attachment for the glasses had worn out over 1 year period. this was fixed easily with some superglue but still not the best quality materials. An additional ball adjustable attachment was also provided which was far too loose to have been of any use for mounting the eye-piece. The battery lasts for 90 minutes - carrying a battery pack and having a long flexible usb-micro cable would be recommended for having the most comfort when in use when outside. I also recommend buying an usb-dock for your Android or Iphone as you can charge your phone and also take advantage of desktop environments on the android such as "DeX". I initially experienced an scaling issue that was fixed but turning on the display with the HDMI plugged in and reattaching into the dock. somtimes twice intill necessary for the Vufine screen to adjust correctly. I used the below product (in picture) to allow me to charge my phone whilst connecting HDMI and other USB media devices. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08RJ8DZPH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 the other larger dock is the "Kensington SD1500 USB-C" which was equally as useful although did not allow direct charging to the phone consecutively.
