They are great. I use the 11's on my Strat and Tele. The round core seems more solid and acually feels better ... to me . At 69 I have tried them all .. strings. I read D Trucks used the ... I figure he is not dumb ... so I tried them. 2 chords ..3 nots ...oh yeah these work. If you need a solid sound ..fat and clean...try a set of 11's. If you're tired of dull-sounding flat wounds or overly bright nickel round wounds, and want a string that captures the full tone of your guitar, you should try the DR pure nickel 12's.
