This THINKWORK bolt extractor kit is decent for the price, but don’t expect professional-grade performance. Long story short, it works, but not repeatedly. This is only the second time I used it. It was able to break the stripped screw free, but it shattered when I tried to loosen the extractor from the screw. I figured this would happen eventually. I just didn't expect it to happen on the second use. The walls seem too thin for repeated stress applications, being that it has a 3/8" cavity to insert the wrench. For the price, I'd expect a little more rigidity.

I ordered this because of the positive reviews but after reading through more it looks like most of those instances were with bolts/etc with heads still where they could use the one set of extractor sockets to pull them out. I had a manifold bolt sheared off and flush with the head. Used a LH bit to bore down into it and inserted the longer style extractor bit. Barely began to torque it with a hand chuck attached, no torque modification, and the bit snapped off. Went to go bore out another hole next to the broken bit, not through it or contacting it, and that LH bit snapped off halfway through boring new hole. Needless to say spent hours running around having to purchase new cobalt drill bit set because the hardened steel bits laugh in the face of anything else attempting to extricate them. I figured out how they came up with the brand name, and that's because you gotta think about all the extra work you're gonna have to do when you use them 🤣
