However, these lights are brilliant! Very smart to look at and I chose the 'yellow' light as opposed to 'white'. In reality, the lights aren't 'yellow', but rather a diffused 'soft white'. The light illuminates the opaque shade when dark and the base to each light is open-ended. Therefore, you also benefit from light being transferred downwards, very softly lighting a wider area below. Highly recommend these for the price!!(One light didn't work and the company immediately replaced it without asking for the faulty item to be returned! Find somewhere suitable to put the lights.2.Pull out the plastic strip inside to get better access and remove the solar top on the light by pulling off.3.Knowing where they are going mark the place where its going with a pencil to know where to drill.4.Drill where you have marked and roughly 5mm diameter into the material and make sure its level and will hold the light nicely against the wall.5.Hang them up and make sure its correctly fitted and is level. And its done !Good points about this product are the easy installation from the guide above. Solar powered so it doesn’t need any cables or mains power to use these lights. Simply turn them on and allow the sun to charge them up (5 hours or more) and will light up automatically when it gets dark and bright up you garden. Its waterproof and is a nice size for hanging on a wall or a long a fence. Very helpful instructions if your stuck at any point with pictures for reference. No maintenance required and simply install and watch them transform the garden.
