No annoying ticking sound of the second-hand movement.The clock keeps time well and is easy to read, even from a distance. The clock runs on one AA battery that allows placing the clock even where there is no electrical outlet available.The clock is very lightweight because it’s made of plastic rather than metal. I wouldn’t want to drop it because it would probably shatter but once hung on the wall, however, I can’t tell the housing is plastic.
