It's a very nice scope. I read lots of reviews before buying it, and there really seemed to be consensus that the optics were as bright and clear as scopes that cost 2x as much. The illumination feature is of huge help during limited light conditions, or when the deer is in a dark tree-line. One of the reasons I chose this scope was that the variety of illuminated midrange price scopes seemed a little lean.
