Twice.Neither time had this diffuser been dropped or mishandled in any way. Within a few days of use, the inner compartment where you put water and an oil began to crack. Then, it leaked into the bottom compartment, with the cute bunny and landscape, which was the last part to break open.After returning the first one and receiving a replacement, I decided to change my habits with this item to see if that would affect its durability. So, I only moved it when I needed to add water, gave it a lot of open space, and turned it off when I wasn’t in the room I had it in.
