They came in different colors which helped with ownership. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent kit for the money *by M***A on October 5, 2024* I bought this kit for my 5 year old daughter who is doing nature walks for her Kindergarten Science this year. I wanted her to really be able to learn about the world around her and make the walks more fun by having things like a magnifying glass and binoculars. There are a ton of options out there and it took me forever to decide on a kit, this one. For the price I think it isn't too bad. There are pros and cons, like anything, but overall I am happy with it. It arrived neatly packaged and each box had an image of what was inside. I thought that was really cool. The bag it came with was definitely big enough to hold everything and more. The kit came with a large bag, small plastic whistle and cord, hand charging flashlight, compass, binoculars and case, and small magnifying glass. Everything needed for a nature walk! If there was anything missing it would be a couple containers for bugs and leaves. I would say the pros are: The kit is the minimum needed for a nature walk Everything fits in a small backpack or the bag it came with My 5 year old could use the whistle without any trouble The flashlight doesn't need any batteries, it is hand charged The magnification on the binoculars and magnifying glass is just enough where kids are entertained The binoculars come with a small cord to go around the child to keep it from falling. It also has a small case to store it in I would say some cons are: The bag was VERY big for my 5 year old and I ended up just using a mini backpack instead Although the kids loved the binoculars I couldn't see very far with them and couldn't find any birds on our walks The flashlight is AWESOME but we haven't taken any night walks yet. If we do I will update my review I couldn't use the whistle. But my 5 year old could! The magnifying glass was pretty small and actually hurt my eyes a little. But my kids seemed to use it just fine. I just wish it was bigger. In the compasses defense, I am not very good at using one. That being said, I couldn't figure it out and therefore couldn't teach my child how to use it. If I figure it out I will update this review. Honestly, looking at other reviews for different kits, I don't think this was a bad kit. It seems like most binoculars and magnifying glasses are just okay and the compasses aren't made the greatest. I think for the money this was a decent kit. I think the company cares about their product since they put in extra effort to label item's box. And most importantly, my 5 year old loved using the kit and is excited for every walk we go on. If I could go back I am not sure whether or not I'd choose a different kit.
