I like the 2 in 1. The softer one is easy to put in and take out of the bumpy one. It comes with a nice booklet too. I have tense muscles for sure and the rubber balls aren't good for all areas. I will have to get used to using a roller as it is a balancing act of sorts and feels hard. It feels good on the shoulder blades though. I really need to get the side of my one thigh loosened up since it hurts so much, right on the i t. A bit to learn and this item should help. Update 5/25/18After 2 weeks of regular use of the foam roller I gave the tougher roller a try. I never thought I'd get used to that! I use it every morning now. My one thigh (top and side) does not hurt! It hurt almost every day especially walking for a few years. I so wish I knew about this sooner. Also, my tummy is a little flatter from rolling excercises.
