## Description

HOW IT WORKS: Mark II provides recharging for battery cells effortlessly thanks to its tech – As the jumbled up electrons get disorganized from getting stripped away from the carbon electrode due to battery use, the Mark II helps “reorganize” the internal structure of the battery cell by redirecting these electrons back into their own terminal and prevents them from reaching the positive terminal, giving new life to the rechargeable batteries each time up to 70 times. NOTE: - Package includes 1x Charger Unit, 1x AC Power Adapter, and 1x User’s Manual (batteries and other accessories not included!) - US-based brand with Warranty and Customer Service Support available. Review: Charges everything - I previously had an Energizer branded battery charger that was pretty versatile and was able to charge various size batteries. Eventually the display died and so now I can't tell if the batteries charge or not. When looking for a new charger I came across this one with its claim to be able to even charge alkaline batteries. My curiosity was piqued and I ordered Maximal. So far I have been impressed. This universal charger has been able to charge everything I have thrown at it, including alkalines. We have a little boy so there are a number of battery operated toys and such that we need to change out the batteries for more often than what we are used to with other device. This makes having a charger like this a necessary tool. The charger has a setting switch to set it to charge Ni-Cd, Ni-MH or Alkaline batteries. It's important to make sure you get this switched properly as you will either get an insufficient charge some other error. The LCD display will show when a battery is in place and charging, when it's complete, and if the battery is bad and can no longer be charges. The LCD screen is not backlit, which is one drawback as you will need sufficient room lighting to read it. Good news there is each battery slot has a light to tell you if the battery is charging and when it's completed. When comparing this charger with the Energizer brand I previous I do notice that the batteries charge faster. I also notice less misfires where you have to reinsert the battery because the charger didn't pick it up right the first time. MaximalPower has four slots that adjust to the size of the battery from the large D's to AAA's. There is even a spot to charge 9 volt batteries (a useful addition for keeping those fire alarm batteries charged). The charger itself is always on, and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. Another small negative detail all things considered. The batteries work well, especially the alkalines. Others have mentioned the charge on the alkaline batteries seems less, and I may agree. However I haven't noticed a significant difference, at least between the charge longevity of other rechargeable batteries. Yes it's not the same as your fresh copper-top, but it's still as good as everything else you put in this charger. Maximal Power met my expectations for a capable and convenient way to recharge my batteries, and impressed with charging options I never thought were possible. You are going to want this charger if you have any alkalines lying around.
Review: "Portable Battery Charger Quickly Charges & Turns AA, AAA, 9V batteries etc. Into Rechargeable Batteries... - Portable Battery Charger Quickly Charges & Turns AA, AAA, 9V batteries etc. Into Rechargeable Batteries... However it's imperfect as it can easily give you a false reading. For example: Flashing a green light when the battery is not fully charged or is weak or no light indicator displaying at all. The solution is to use a battery tester to check if the battery is good or not.Yes it will tell you even if your non-chargeable batters are still worth charging. I ordered & successfully used the Universal AA AAA C D 9V Button Coin Battery Tester Checker NiceEshop Battery Tester For D 9 Volt Rectangular And Button Cell Batteries However when recharging you'll need to sometimes turn or adjust the batteries in order for the battery charger to detect the battery. Alkaline & ( 9V batteries) work excellent at recharging in this charger especially the Duracell batteries. For some reason there is no LCD display for the 9 volt batteries. However there is a red indicator light that comes on in the rear middle of lid cover. If it does not need charging or if it's dead the rear red indicator light won't light up.If it does it will light up red & then turn off when fully charged. It works perfect for charging any 9 volt battery. This unit pays for itself as I've already charged many so-called non-chargeable alkaline batteries in a short period of time. It may not be perfect but for the money I could not find a comparable battery charger that charges alkaline batteries that is why I gave it 5 stars even though imperfect. Remember Heavy Duty batteries are not rechargeable so don't waste your money buying them. The pricey rechargeable batteries (generic brands) from my experience are absolute junk, most don't last at all. Generic brand batteries also appear to be weak when compared to name brand batteries like Duracell. I no longer believe the Duracell's are over rated. Just buy them when you see them on sale or use Google Shopping to find bargains. Yes , it does appear the major brand batteries are far more durable than generic batteries & superior to holding a charge. The Duracel, Energizer, Eveready & Rayovac brand alkaline batteries from my experience definitely appear to be far superior to the generic batteries for holding a recharge & recharging. Definitely get a battery tester especially for the expensive rechargeable batteries. I tested every type of battery designed for this device & it really works but not perfectly in detecting the battery, except for 9 volt batteries, as it works perfectly.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Just to be 100% clear, this can recharge regular, off-the-shelf Alkaline batteries? Like ones you can find at drug stores, grocery stores and such?**
A: yes all batteries even the dollar store ones, butt they don't last as long as when they came out of the package. about 80% that's pretty good.

**Q: Do alkaline batteries need to be completely drained before recharging them in the Mark II?**
A: Alkaline batteries should be “rejuvenated” after light use. The battery will recover best if not drawn down drastically. This is not recharging the energy. It realigns the internal chemistry to extract more of the original energy built into the battery.

**Q: Can the mark ii charge 3.7 18650 li-ion batteries?**
A: I can't get my 18650 batteries to charge or even recognize by this charger Maximal Power FC999 Mark II.
The are not kaput. My multimeter recognize and provides voltage reading.
Can make someone help me out here?

**Q: Where is the battery type switch or is it automanic?**
A: There's no switch it's automatic.

### ⭐⭐ Review
*by S***G on June 10, 2024*

Poor quality charger, would recommend getting a Lii-500 or similar as they are much more intelligent than this FC999 unit. Feels like it was made in the 90's and not in a good way. Screen contrast is poor, unit provides no useful charging info as the percentages displayed seem to take hours to actually become realistic, maybe they're based purely on cell voltage? Which is not ideal. On my unit, one charging slot started corroding almost immediately and now that slot is unusable. All the charging slot springs are cheap and sliding the battery contacts around feels like you're grinding down the plastic underneath.
