Personally for everyday use, a curved j-shaped umbrella handle would have been far more functional and helpful, but this item is marketed more as a golfing umbrella, so perhaps that's the reason why the manufacturer did not put that type of handle on it. If I had not bought it on sale at such a great price, I might have returned it because of the wobble, but now that I'm more used to it, for $20, I'll survive. I had previously purchased a cancer organization endorsed umbrella that supposedly reflected/blocked the sun. THAT one cost me $49.99, had the handle I prefer -- and, was the size of a travel umbrella offering minimal shading. So, comparatively, this umbrella was far superior (& color more palatable). Many umbrellas looked at in stores were far too heavy for everyday, intense use during hour+ walks.
