Review: Well Built but No Instructions - This is a nicely built crimper. I've used crimpers before but not this particular style. desertcart says, "comes with instructions", but not with my copy so I had to do a little trial and error to get good crimps without crushing the pin insert end of the connector. The numbers on my copy of the crimper differ slightly from the desertcart illustration with the largest being 2.0mm instead of the 1.9mm shown. No biggie. The tool has a good ratchet mechanism which is used to hold the connector in place while the wire end is inserted and then the crimp is finished. Makes great crimps. It's coated with some kind of lubricant which stains so be careful no to lay it on your prize tablecloth when taking it out of the protective plastic bag. Wiping it down doesn't help because there's more lubricant in the bag so it's coated again the next time you remove it. You probably don't want it lubricant free, because this lubricant probably contains a corrosion inhibitor to preserve the tool. Very good tool for the price and works well, but when crimping, be sure to check the insertion distance so the actual connector doesn't get crushed in the process.

A: They should work but you will have to position the connector properly. These are the best option for those connectors unless you go with a single crimp style and crimp the wire and insulation barrels separately.

This is a nicely built crimper. I've used crimpers before but not this particular style. Amazon says, "comes with instructions", but not with my copy so I had to do a little trial and error to get good crimps without crushing the pin insert end of the connector. I use this crimper now as my main tool. Mainly for RC style connectors. I bought it initially for making longer xbus connectors and it worked flawlessly for that then i have done sever servo leads which have turned out beautifully. The ratchet is nice just wish the release was a bit easier to get to. Overall it is now a must have for myself when crimping RC style wires.

Another great product from iCrimp! I needed these to replace an old worn out pair of crimpers I had for years. These work like the ones they replaced did when they were new. I also really like this design to where I can hold the crimpers vertically and keep the terminal ends in my line of sight while I'm inserting the wire. That makes for less of an opportunity to mess up the crimp! I like that!
