Being an occasional lathe user I needed a basic set of wood turning chisels. These seemed like a reasonable deal - and they are. However, they are described as being "manufactured" by "Thorcraft", which may be true but the chisels are clearly "Faithfull" chisels and are identical to the same boxed set sold elsewhere on Amazon. The photograph of the chisels hides this fact by turning the chisels over so that the branding is not revealed. Now, this may be fine but why do this? Taking a step back from this skulduggery I am quite happy with the chisels and they seem to be of reasonable quality and they do meet my needs. There is another issue here and that is that the set is sold with a set of three calipers. These are so poorly made that they can be best described as being of scrap value and have been returned. I have asked for their value to be refunded.

Husband chose these for his new lathe.  As he said, not the best quality but for the price they are good tools which give a clean cut
