I plugged it in to a surge protector right away to test the charger on my tablet. It didn't work right away so I was curious and decided to try a second outlet. I pulled the block and noticed that only half of the block disconnected from the outlet. I look down and was startled to see the wires inside the charging block was exposed. because of the exposed wires I was afraid to put down the half I was holding, and I was afraid to pull the part stuck to outlet as well because of the exposed lines. luckily the outlet was on a surge protector, so I was able to turn it off and unplug the protector from the wall. I then disconnected the block and re-packaged it to return right away.I only had it for less than 25 seconds unfortunately, but it was a 25 thrilling seconds.The return process was pretty breezy so it had that going for it. but I have to admit for a moment I feared for my life.Please take caution if you order this product, it is quite possible I just received a defective unit. Even then I would suggest inspecting the unit and testing it on a surge protector so that you can unplug it if anything goes wrong.Thank you for your time and patience in reading my review, ### ⭐ I received this last week. I didn't read to see if this was refurbished, but I have a feeling it must be. I've gotten one before from this Same co. Once the Detachable part comes off it DOESN'T CHARGE anymore unless you figget around with the base, take the detachment off and on SEVERAL TIMES. Had purchased Another cord Thinking That was the problem. IF they're gonna sell something with a detachable part, AT LWAAT TELL what Voltage the Electrical cord that goes in there should be, so that you don't ruin your tablet. And the DETACHMENT comes off by itself after about 20 times of removing from wall socket.
