It seems pretty well made, durable, and has padding on the clamp so it doesn't scratch surfaces... Theres not a whole lot to review about it, but for what I need it for, it seems to be doing the trick and it holds well. I did have to take the ball joint off because my camera seemed to be too heavy for that, but it was pretty easy to take it apart and just screw the camera directly into the clamp, because all I need is for it to be completely stationary and solid.I do kind of wish that it came with some sort of directions for use... it doesn't. The package came with some extra parts that I wasn't entirely sure what they would be used for. About the similar item from different manufacturer which shared the same thoughts that I have for this type of a product, which I think the manufacturer would really worth paying attention to this:Any device you need to attach to this clamp has to be attached before you clamp it to the tripod or any fixture, or it'll be difficult to screw the device onto the clamp if you want to attach the device on the clamp after the clamp already fixed/stayed on the tripod/fixture.
