These are not a smooth shiny surface, much like a real egg.I would have given 5 stars BUT there were only 49 eggs, and one of them was dented and unsuable. So technically I received 48 eggs. I seem not to be alone with this experience, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. They were hard to handle and easily broke. Difficult to attach a string to for hanging onto the Easter Bush. These pleastic eggs are a great option. Easy to handle and once decorated, they can be enjoyed every Easter anew. Included are many fun stickers and easy attachable and colorful strings. We also like to paint them with Acrylic Pens.
